off to a bit of a wet start, we teed off with sprinklers invading the box. the course was essentially empty, save a group of late-teens who stumbled out of the canyon and squealed in excitement at the free frisbees laid out in front of them. put it down, kid. we're playing frisbee golf. it was slow going with much drinking, conversation, and a veteran's pace around campus. the course layout had to be explained and explained again. after the monolith, we connected with four reedies who sped up to meet our group. we played out the rest of the course together.

lots of wet feet. next week, i'll bring waterproof shoes. shane had a 1-stroke lead at 3-under heading into the last hole. i had birdied 13 and 15 (first time ever?) to put me at 2-under and hit a silly 50 yard low backhand on the last hole to finish at 3-under. week one in the books, with the victory shared between the two course veterans. uncaged excitement at week two.
